Yahtzee With Buddies company Scopely has partnered with World Wrestling Entertainment for the release of WWE Champions on mobile. The puzzle RPG will allow players to collect more than 100 different WWE Superstars and Legends, from Brock Lesnar to Andre the Giant and more.
WWE Champions will be the first release from Scopely’s partnership with developer Kung Fu Factory. The game is currently in soft launch in limited territories.
According to the game’s current description on the Australian iTunes App Store, WWE Champions will allow players to battle against their friends, or team up to take on others around the world. In addition, as players progress, they’ll be able to improve their Superstars’ skills, and will be able to participate in live events based on WWE’s current television shows and monthly PPV events.
In a statement, Walter Driver, CEO of Scopely, commented:
Scopely is powering the next generation of interactive entertainment through our robust publishing infrastructure and product expertise. With WWE, we are creating and evolving the mobile WWE experience with daily gameplay events that continue to bring WWE’s brand, talent and legendary moments to life.
WWE Champions is expected to officially launch worldwide on iOS and Android later this year.
