SB Nation Buys The Sporting Blog, Launches Tumblr Blog
SB Nation is expanding the roster for its network of sports blogs, acquiring The Sporting Blog from Sporting News and launching its own Tumblr blog, TechCrunch reports.
This comes on the heels of SB Nation’s announcement in June that it will launch 20 regional sports sites.
TechCrunch reported that Thomson Reuters channel manager Anthony De Rosa joined SB Nation to run the Tumblr blog, adding that SB Nation CEO Jim Bankoff said The Sporting Blog archives will be preserved.
