Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg remained consistent in answering an often-asked question, saying at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, D.C., Thursday that she has no intentions to run for political office.

Sandberg, who appears on the cover of the magazine’s Oct. 28 issue, told the audience that despite the constant speculation that she would enter the political arena after Facebook, she has no plans to do so, adding that she is happy working for a company she cares about, and that Facebook gives her the flexibility to promote her own causes, such as her book, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead, and the Lean In online community.
