Rounds Lets Friends Browse the Same Web Page in a Mobile Video Hangout

The latest update to Rounds' video chat hangout mobile app for iOS and Android includes a co-browsing feature for friends to share the same web pages while they talk. Rounds marketing director Natasha Shine-Zirkel said that the apps are designed to connect friends, not strangers, across different platforms in a safe environment. But it's the activities that friends can share over the phone that make the hangouts more like hanging out in real life.

The latest update to Rounds’ video chat hangout mobile app for iOS and Android includes a co-browsing feature for friends to share the same web pages while they talk.

Rounds marketing director Natasha Shine-Zirkel said that the apps are designed to connect friends, not strangers, across different platforms in a safe environment. But it’s the activities that friends can share over the phone that make the hangouts more like hanging out in real life.

Much like they could with Google+ Hangouts, Rounds users can watch YouTube videos and create camera effects while they chat, but they aren’t limited to using their Google accounts to log in.
