Roger Friedman Sues Fox News

Entertainment columnist Roger Friedman filed a wrongful-termination lawsuit against Fox News, News Corp., 20th Century Fox and Rupert Murdoch in New York State Supreme Court Monday, the Huffington Post reported.

Fox News fired Friedman in April after he reviewed a copy of 20th Century Fox feature film Wolverine that was leaked over the Internet. The network claimed that Friedman’s review constituted an endorsement of piracy.

Friedman, who now writes for The Hollywood Reporter, is seeking $5.18 million in damages for wrongful termination, tortious interference and libel defamation.

According to the Huffington Post, Friedman is expected to claim that Fox News parent News Corp.
