RIM Shows Off PlayBook At CES

BlackBerry maker RIM showed off its new tablet at CES this week. The PlayBook, which was announced back in September, will roll out this quarter.

The new PlayBook runs on OS and includes a 7.3 LCD touchscreen with 1024 x 600 resolution, 1 GHz dual-core processor and 1 GB RAM.

The Washington Post has more: “The most impressive part of the PlayBook demo was how its operating system, based on QNX’s software instead of RIM’s traditional BlackBerry OS, handles multitasking.
