Renatus Media has announced the launch of its newest game on Facebook: Candy Dale. Developed by Clonefish, the game takes players to a land of sweets, where they’ll complete match-three levels by drawing and tracing lines on symbols on the board.
Each level of Candy Dale has its own goal(s), from earning a large number of points to clearing specific numbers of certain candy pieces from the board. One level may ask players to remove mushrooms by making matches next to them, while another asks them to clear brown tiles by making matches on top of them.
Regardless of goal(s), the levels play out the same. Users click and drag their mouse over groups of three-or-more like-colored candy symbols in order to destroy them. Lines can be formed horizontally, vertically and diagonally, with longer lines adding power-ups to the board. These powers may trigger explosions that clear small clusters of candies, or whole rows or columns of candies. A final power can be used as a wildcard to connect two individual chains of different colored candies for a larger score boost.
In addition to these formed powers, players can use premium currency to purchase some extra boosts. Very small quantities of currency are earned for free while playing, while the rest can be purchased with real money.
Gamers have a limited number of moves to complete all of their tasks in each level, and will earn up to three stars on each stage, depending on their final score.
Candy Dale is available to play for free on Facebook, and is currently in the works for Android and iOS devices.
