Reliance Games has announced the launch of the newest mobile game in The Hunger Games franchise: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire – Panem Run. The game is based on the second film in the franchise, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which released in theaters on November 22.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire – Panem Run is an endless runner in the style of Temple Run that sees players running through the districts of Panem collecting the resources and Sparks that Katniss has left behind. Players can swipe left and right to move their character across three lanes, and must swipe up or down on the screen to jump over or slide under obstacles on the path.
The farther players run, the more districts they’ll reach, and each run can be customized by choosing to swipe to the left or right at “forks” in the road. Each fork leads players into a different district, which may contain unique resources not found in the others.
Power ups like shields and speed boosts help played out along the way, and an archery mini-game appears at random throughout each run. These archery games see players swiping up, right or left on the screen to hit archery targets as they run, offering bonus points to the player and temporarily giving them a break from the obstacles found elsewhere.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire – Panem Run is now available to download for free on iOS and Google Play. Check back soon to follow the game on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
