3-Step Guide To Recruiting Social Influencers [Infographic]

By Megan O'Neill

Social endorsements from influencers can be a great way to spread the word about your brand, but finding the right influencers and reaching out to them in the right way is a skill that requires tact and finesse.  A new infographic from MSLGROUP and SocialChorus, ‘The Value of the Power Middle in Driving Social Influence: A Three-step Guide to Activating Untapped Social Influencers,’ takes a look at the world of social endorsements and how brands can target and identify untapped advocates and influencers.

The infographic suggests that, rather than reaching out to the real big fish with hundreds of thousands or millions of followers and subscribers, brands should focus on “The Power Middle”—the influencers with 2.5k to 25k unique monthly visitors on sites like Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, Tumblr and others.  “Over the course of three months,” they report, “a Power Middle campaign with 100 influencers drives 1K actions [with] 30k to 40k social endorsements delivered to millions of consumers.”

Check out the infographic below for a 3-step guide that covers finding the right power middle influencers, reaching out to them in the right way, and understanding the mutual value exchange of social currency.
