Quora, an emerging social question and answer site, has roll out its newest browse page to help improve the user experience on the site. The new browse page serves fresh, relevant and personalized content by pulling recently voted answers from the topics directly followed by the users and also topics related to their following.
According to Joel Lewenstein, Product Designer at Quora:
The goal of the Browse page is to give you a fun way to find new content on Quora. The photo grid at the top shows topics with recently upvoted answers. These topics are personalized to you, chosen from topics related to ones you follow. The list will change over the course of hours and days, so check back often to see the newest content.
The UI design of the browse page is also fairly neat. When a topic is clicked, the section expands to display the “best answer” along with its associated author. This also increases the visibility of the authors and help increase their following. The page also comes with a trending section for most popular content across Quora.
