Pudding Media, a mobile advertising network, is teaming up with Impact Mobile to offer agencies and advertisers a self-service tool for buying contextual ads on SMS text messages, according to MediaPost. A lot of these deals have gone by lately, mainly to help consolidate the various aspects of mobile so that advertisers can work with one service on cell phones.
“Combining Pudding’s targeting capabilities with Impact’s Jumps mobile marketing platform, the new service promises to give advertisers access to a broad inventory of category-specific impressions as well as greater engagement with consumers.”
The report said that consumers can opt in for subscriptions to retail coupons and special offer alerts, as well as enter promotions and tell-a-friend programs, by responding to the ads. The ads will work across multiple mobile formats, including SMS, the mobile Web, and voice.
