Publisher Brings Book Stories To The Facebook Wall To Encourage Reading

These days many young people are so preoccupied with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other online distractions that they are losing interest in reading books.  Portuguese book publisher Leya wanted to find a way to change that and get people interested in reading once again.  The solution?  Leya thought, why not bring books to the Facebook walls of potential readers.  They launched a campaign called Fbooks, telling book stories interactively on Facebook.

Sounds neat right?  But how does it work?  Basically, they create Facebook profiles for each character in the book and invite people to become friends with them.
