Promoted page like ads, which Facebook initially rolled out in the U.S. last December, were made available on a global basis Tuesday.

Promoted page like ads, which Facebook initially rolled out in the U.S. last December, were made available on a global basis Tuesday.

The social network said promoted page like ads are primarily targeted toward advertisers that are newer to Facebook and do not require sophisticated targeting, adding that interested page administrators can access their page admin views, click on the promoted page likes panel, select a budget, and launch their campaigns.

Promoted page like ads target audiences in locations selected by page admins, and they can run on News Feed on both mobile and desktop.
