Twitter And Facebook: The Political Agenda [INFOGRAPHIC]
36% of users have changed their opinion of a friend based on a political comment they have made on Twitter or Facebook, and, given the chance, 16% fewer social networkers would vote for President Barack Obama if they could relive the 2008 Presidential Election.
That’s the findings of a new study from market research specialists Lab42, who surveyed 500 social networking Americans about their political opinions.
Other key takeaways:
- 51% of Facebook users have posted a political message on their wall
- 59% of those surveyed said they would supported an independent or third party candidate for President
- 62% of respondents said that Fox News presented a balanced view in their political coverage (!), compared to 55% for NPR
