Plants vs. Zombies 2 Receives Birthdayz Mega Event

The Birthdayz event will run through May 12, and it will allow players to complete Birthdayz-themed party levels filled with eight themed zombies.

The Plants vs. Zombies franchise turns seven Thursday (May 5), and to celebrate, EA Mobile launched a 10-day birthday-themed Mega Event in Plants vs. Zombies 2 on mobile. The tower defense game challenges players to defeat zombies using an army of plants.

The Birthdayz event will run until May 12, and it will allow players to complete Birthdayz-themed party levels filled with eight themed zombies. Players are guaranteed to receive Gems, the game’s premium currency, as they complete each event level.

In addition, the event includes five limited-time birthday-themed collectible plant costumes.

Finally, the event includes the return of the premium Jack O’ Lantern plant, which uses a flamethrower attack to damage enemies on multiple tiles in a lane.
