Pinterest Will Support Verification of URLs Linked to Profiles

Pinterest will allow websites to verify that they own the accounts linked to their profiles on the photo-based social network, the company said today.

Users will see a checkmark next to verified domain names.

Initially, only top-level domains, like socialtimes.com, will be eligible for verification. The process works by asking administrators to upload an HTML file to their sites.
