YouTube's Most Popular Creator Turns Off Comments

The comment sections on YouTube are constantly under fire, likely because of the prevalence of spam and trolls. Recently, Felix Kjellberg aka PewDiePie, YouTube’s most subscribed-to channel, has decided to disable comments on his videos.

Kjellberg recently crossed over 30 million subscribers and released a video explaining that spammers and the general lack of quality comments was the reason for this change.

I go to the comments and it’s mainly spam, it’s people self-advertising, it’s people who are trying to provoke — people who reply to all these.
