Free-to-play operator and publisher Perfect World Entertainment has announced the launch of Elemental Kingdoms on iOS devices. Developed by Shanghai-based iFree Studios, the card battle game is described as the “2.0” of mobile trading card games, as it contains a larger focus on strategy than other games in the genre.
Elemental Kingdoms sees players joining the Northern Alliance in their fight to restore peace in the Elemental Kingdoms. Players can complete 80 stages across four Kingdoms, collecting over 200 cards and runes for their deck.
As players make progress, they’ll be encouraged to upgrade their cards with increased health and attack attributes, giving them a better chance of facing what lies ahead. Players receive free gold and gems for logging in each day, and ranked matches against other worldwide players offer gameplay outside of the main campaign.
In a similar style to other free-to-play mobile games, the title also offers limited time events (and even daily events), that work to encourage players to come back to the game day after day.
Elemental Kingdoms has previously found success via a release in China. Perfect World announced its plans to publish the game in the West back in September.
Elemental Kingdoms is now available to download for free on iOS. Check back soon to follow the game on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
