After losing her Food Network show and numerous sponsors over a racist comment, cooking queen Paula Deen is back on Twitter, begging for more punishment.
She is literally asking for it.
Yesterday she wanted to know, what’s your favorite potluck dish? This is the politest response we could find:
Shrimp fried rights. RT @Paula_Deen: My favorite potluck dish is ______ RT me your answer!

Today Paula is wondering if we know what a hoecake is.
.@Paula_Deen Some would say you.

On Wednesday, Paula was firing up the grill. Twitter grilled her right back.

As for what’s going on here, PR Newser’s headline says it all: Paula Deen’s Outrageously Insane PR Apocalypse Explodes like the Death Star and Alderaan Combined.
But the operators of Paula’s Twitter account were not wrong in thinking that she still has a solid base of supporters online. In the days after she was fired, the celebrity chef’s Facebook page saw a spike in likes, while Food Network’s took a nosedive. It’s all documented on the White People Mad at Food Network Tumblr blog, which statistics from PageData and viewer surveys can confirm.
They just horribly underestimated the comedic timing of her critics. What popcorn recipes go best with PR fails?
