Last Friday marked the one-year anniversary of Facebook’s acquisition of mobile application-development platform Parse, and the social network said the number of apps built on the platform has soared by some 250 percent in the past year, to more than 260,000.

Facebook also offered the following Parse-related statistics in an email to AllFacebook:
- Tens of thousands of app developers depend on Parse every day.
- More than 140,000 new developers signed up for Parse this year.
- Large brands and businesses are using Parse, including Showtime, Fox News Channel and Fox Sports, eBay, and Samsung, as well as fast-growing companies like Quip, StubHub, and Zoosk.
