OverDrive Extends Its Business To Europe
OverDrive, an eBook distributor for retailers, schools and libraries, is expanding its presence in Europe. The distributor has hired publishing veteran Johanna Brinton to serve as the Director of Business Development for Europe.
In her new position, Brinton will manage OverDrive’s EU publisher services, retail and e-commerce businesses.
As part of its international expansion, this week OverDrive will be previewing enhancements to its distribution services at the Frankfurt Book Fair. This includes new eBook and audiobook apps for Windows and Android devices, as well as for the iPhone and iPad.
Recently OverDrive extended its library by partnering with Project Gutenberg to distribute public domain books to libraries.
