Orbit to Launch New Book Series Starring an Undead Queen Victoria
The Little, Brown imprint Orbit Books has just signed a deal for 3 books in a new series. The books, the first of which is due to come out in July 2012, will be penned by urban fantasy author Kate Locke.
The first title in the series is called God Save the Queen, and it will feature a Queen Victoria turned vampire. She’s still on the throne after 170 years. The book will mix anachronistic horse-drawn carriages, ball gowns and corsets of the vampire aristocracy with the modern society and technologies of the current era.
