Assuming the Facebook initial public offering launches Friday, as planned, Tuesday, May 29, would be the first day that options trading could begin on the social network’s stock.
Reuters reported that the International Securities Exchange announced plans to begin options trading on Facebook on that day, allowing investors to hedge their bets and speculate.
Other U.S.-based options exchanges are expected to follow suit as long as trading volumes are met, according to Reuters.
