Online video is proving itself to be incredibly powerful and an amazing new motion infographic from YouOn TV reveals some statistics that show just how powerful the medium is.

According to their ‘Facts about online video’ motion graphic, web surfers spend an average about 48 seconds on a website, unless that website has a video.  When a website has a video, viewers spend an average of about 5 minutes and 50 seconds on a site, or 5.33 times more time than on a text website!

Think that’s impressive?  Just wait until you get a load of all the other impressive statistics that the video has to offer, such as the fact that optimized websites with video are 53 times more likely to appear on the front page of Google, or that in the last three years mobile video traffic has increased a whopping 5,000 percent!

If you don’t already have video on your website you’ll be champing at the bit to get some video up.  Check out YouOn TV’s great video below and let us know what you think!  Are you surprised by these statistics?
