OfficeMax To Sell The Nook

OfficeMax is going to start selling Barnes & Noble’s Nook eReaders at its retail stores nationwide on Saturday. This includes the Nook Touch and the Nook Color, as well as related accessories.

The retailer already sells various eReaders from Aluratek, Pandigital and Toshiba, but not the Amazon Kindle or the Kobo Touch (which competes directly with the Nook Touch).

Ryan Vero, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for OfficeMax released this statement about the deal: “OfficeMax is very pleased to offer our customers access to Barnes & Noble’s Nook brand of eReading products.”

The Nook is already available at OfficeMax competitor Staples.
