Obama Boy Has A Crush On Obama’s Support Of Gay Marriage

Back in 2008, during the last presidential election, Amber Lee Ettinger went viral as Obama Girl, when she praised Barack Obama in her YouTube hit, ‘Crush On Obama,’ which has racked up over 24 million views to date.  This week Justin Brown, calling himself Obama Boy, has surfaced with a remake of Obama Girl’s hit song, focusing on Obama’s support of gay marriage.

Obama Boy’s ‘I Have A Crush On Obama’ begins much like Obama Girl’s video—Justin leaves a cell phone message for “Barry” to let him know how he feels about him.  The lyrics talk about Prop 8, the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, gay marriage and more.

The video was shot in New York City over three days, shortly after Obama’s endorsement of gay marriage.

Patrick Gavin of Politico reports that, “Apparently the Obama campaign is enjoying it: Brown wrote on his Facebook wall that ‘I’ve gotten confirmation that people in the Obama Campaign have seen the video and quote, ‘Are cracking up.’’”

Obama Girl loves it too.  She told Politico, “Pretty much I think it’s hilarious I’m flattered too! Lol I’ve been waiting for someone to do this and this guy did it.”
