NYTimes.com, NYU Team Up on The Local East Village
NYTimes.com and New York University’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute will team up to create The Local East Village, a hyper-local news and information site serving the neighborhood where much of NYU is located.
The Local East Village is set to debut this fall, with former New York Times reporter Richard G. Jones serving as its editor and working with students, faculty, and community members.
Jones will also manage The Hyperlocal Newsroom with NYU Professors Yvonne Latty and Darragh Worland.
