NY State Troopers Use Facebook To ID Woman's Corpse

Police are requesting the assistance of the public in helping to identify the smoldering and charred body of a woman who was found Sunday morning in an upstate N.Y. state park. Police investigators have set up a Facebook page with possibly dentifyable items that belonged to the victim to see if anyone comes forward with info about her.

The case which has been ruled a homicide has police baffled, as to the identification of the woman, whom they say was either African American or Latino, perhaps in her mid to late twenties, 5 feet 9 inches and 150 pounds.
