NPR, Member Stations Launch The Argo Network of 12 Topic-Focused Local Sites

NPR teamed up with 12 NPR member stations to launch The Argo Network, one-dozen topic-focused news sites aimed at offering in-depth, local coverage on subjects including global health, climate change, gentrification, public safety, education, politics, military, immigration, and music.

Each station chose its topic based on the needs of its local community, and the aim is to establish the NPR member stations as definitive sources of news on each specialized subject. Each Argo Network site contains a news-blog with multiple stories daily, as well as community features for audience engagement and curated content.
