Facebook’s facial-recognition feature is coming under scrutiny in another country, as the Norwegian Data Protection Agency said it will launch an investigation this fall and speak with the social network about the technology behind it.

Facebook’s facial-recognition feature is coming under scrutiny in another country, as the Norwegian Data Protection Agency said it will launch an investigation this fall and speak with the social network about the technology behind it.

PCWorld reported that the agency is teaming up with the Article 29 Working Party, much as it did when examining Facebook’s privacy policy in 2011. The Article 29 Working Party is made up of one representative from the data protection authority of each European Union member, the European Data Protection Supervisor, and the E.U.
