The first pucks drop in the National Hockey League’s Stanley Cup Playoffs Wednesday night, and the Facebook Data Science Team examined which of the 16 participating teams have the most likes in states and provinces in the U.S. and Canada, respectively.
The findings by the Facebook Data Science Team included:
- The Chicago Blackhawks topped the most states and provinces, with 10 (all U.S. states), while the Pittsburgh Penguins came out on top in nine (six states, three Canadian provinces).
- The only two teams to boast the most likes in provinces in Canada were the Penguins and the Montreal Canadiens.
