NFL Player Tarell Brown Loses $2 Million, Fires Agent — All Because Of A Tweet

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Tarell Brown got some bad news recently, but not from his coach or agent – from Twitter.

The NFL player learned via a tweet from Brian McIntyre, a Yahoo! Sports NFL writer, that he was out $2 million.

Brown is entering the final year of his contract with the 49ers, and was supposed to earn $2.95 million this year (yes, you’re in the wrong career). That salary included $925,000 in base pay and a stipulation that he would only receive the rest if he participated in the team’s off-season workouts at their Northern California headquarters.
