Latest Facebook News Feed Survey Wants To Know If ‘This Post Feels Like An Ad’

MakeNewsFeedBetterNewsFeedPost650Facebook has begun circulating another survey about its News Feed — appropriately, via its News Feed — with this one focusing on whether or not News Feed posts from pages feel like ads.

I saw the post pictured above in my News Feed late Wednesday afternoon, and clicking on “Give Feedback” brought up the “Tell Us What You Think” box pictured below, which reads:

On the next few pages, you’ll see some Facebook posts. Above each post, there will be a statement and a rating scale. Rate how much you agree with the statement for each post.

The survey then served up 15 posts from pages, all with the same question: “How much do you agree with this statement? This post feels like an ad.” Answer options were:

  • Strongly disagree
  • Disagree
  • Neither agree nor disagree
  • Agree
  • Strongly agree

The 15 posts included a diverse mix of posts that were undoubtedly ads and posts that were not even close to being ads.
