Hiring in the mobile apps sector was up sharply this week, with 23 new hires spread across 12 companies. Based on information from LinkedIn and other sources, GREE reported the most activity with nine hires. The highest profile move belonged to Scale Venture Partners, which brought on former Zynga general manager Eric Tilenius as an executive-in-residence. Gameloft Jay Kalugin, 3D Artist -- A trio of hires this week at Gameloft. Kalugin was previously a 3D generalist at WorldForge. John Bowker, Release Manager -- Bowker was the build and configure poker team lead at Derivco. Robert Grigore, Programmer -- Grigore was formerly an analyst programmer at Reggiani s.p.a. Glu Mobile Alex Letov, Game Designer -- Letov was the lead game designer at Gameloft before joining Glu. GREE Harshad Bhatwadekar, Software Engineer -- Bhatwadekar was previously a software consultant at Tata Consultancy Services Japan. Aaron McCullough, Product Manager -- McCullough was a product manager, operations and finance at One Kings Lane before joining GREE. Anitha Katikireddy, QA Engineer -- Katikireddy comes to GREE from APPTERA, where he was a developer/SQA automation engineer. Guy Romhild, Lead Game QA Engineer -- Romhild was previously a QA tester at TinyCo. Jonathan Forster, Junior Copywriter -- Forster was formerly a copywriter at StubHub. Kazuyo Green, Technical Translator -- Green was previously a freelance interpreter/translator. Nic Colley, Technical Project Manager -- Colley comes from Central Piedmont Community College, where he was an instructor of simulation and game development.
