New e-Reading App to Help Children Become Better Readers

Among the first Sourcebooks to be offered through the Scholastic e-reading application will be the bestselling Horrid Henry series by Francesca Simon, "Dream Big," "Little Pig" by Kristi Yamaguchi, and the perennial favorite picture book, "I Love You More" by Laura Duksta.

The global children’s publishing, education and media company, Scholastics, has partnered up with Sourcebooks, an independent publisher, to carry e-books on a new Scholastic e-reading application launching this fall.

Under the partnership, Scholastic will carry bestselling children’s titles, both frontlist and backlist, published by Sourcebooks on the Scholastic e-reading app. The app is specially designed to captivate kids while helping them become better readers. Picture books, elementary series, middle grade chapter books and young adult novels will all be available for download onto the new e-reading app through Scholastic Book Clubs.

“We also share a mission of reaching as many young people as possible with books that will enrich and inform their lives,” said Judy Newman, EVP, Scholastic and President, Scholastic Book Clubs and eCommerce.
