NBC Universal App Marks 50th Anniversary of JFK Assassination
NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth has created an iPhone app to commemorate the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination.
The free JFK 50: NBC Remembers app is a great tool to learn a lesson in media history. It includes archival video of NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth/KXAS’s broadcast from November 22, 1963, the day the former president was killed. The local station (which was known as WBAP-TV back then) covered the news as it broke, and stayed on the air for three days of continuous coverage.
