Navy May Recommend Google+ for Enlisted Members

However, the Navy will not join the network itself because Google+ has not launched its business trial program, and, reportedly, pulls or deletes any accounts that are not affiliated with a singular person.

The U.S. Navy is seriously looking into whether Google+ is an option for sharing information with family and friends. Lt. Lesley Lykins told USA Today, “We’re considering it. We’re still waiting to see the platform itself.”

Google+ may have a strong advantage over Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites because of the way the platform allows users to share content. The new social network is known for helping users create “circles,” or exclusive groups of family, friends or work associates who can tailor their content.
