MySpace Shifting Andy Marcus to Senior VP, Entertainment and Video

MySpace is turning to one of its own to lead its entertainment efforts, shifting senior vice president of business and legal affairs Andy Marcus to the post of senior VP, entertainment and video, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

THR said Marcus is working with third-party studios to secure original short-form programming for the social network, adding that he now reports to senior VP of marketing David Donegan.

Speaking about last week’s announcement that potential contestants can audition for American Idol via MySpace, Marcus told THR:

That is a big win for us.
