MySpace Launches World Cup Profile With Live Video and Realtime Tweets

Over the last few years MySpace has been repositioning itself as an entertainment network to distinguish itself from its main competitor, Facebook. In line with that, they are attempting to focus on the music, games and video areas of the site and particularly, to focus on premium content that users can aggregate around. This is a big difference from a network like Facebook where the focus is on amateur, user generated content. Continuing the content strategy, MySpace today announced their World Cup page, which is a type of one-stop shop for your World Cup needs.

The MySpace World Cup Profile specifically allows you to chat with players and observe tweets about the World Cup, watch live games as they occur, and even sign a petition.
