MyShakeup: Owen Van Natta Out as MySpace CEO

Mike Jones and Jason Hirschhorn were named co-presidents at MySpace, replacing CEO Owen Van Natta, who resigned Wednesday, News Corp., parent company of the social-networking site, announced.

Former chief operating officer Jones and former chief product officer Hirschhorn will report to News Corp. chairman and CEO of digital media Jon Miller.

Van Natta, Jones, and Hirschhorn all joined MySpace in April 2009.

Miller said:

Owen took on an incredible challenge in working to refocus and revitalize MySpace, and the business has shown very positive signs recently as a result of his dedicated work.
