'Mommyblogger' Heather Armstrong Inks HGTV Deal

It’s been a productive week for HGTV, as the Scripps Networks-owned home and lifestyle channel regained carriage on cable operator Cablevision Systems, and then turned its attention to the content and online sides of the business, signing dooce “mommyblogger” Heather Armstrong to an exclusive programming development deal, under which she will work with the network’s on-air and online production teams.

HGTV said it will offer further details about Armstrong’s HGTV platform this spring, but she will continue to blog for dooce and tweet to her more than 1.6
