Facebook appears to be ramping up its mobile advertising efforts with the addition of a new ad unit featuring two sponsored listings in a “Pages You May Like” box.

Unlike traditional mobile sponsored stories, the names of users’ friends who liked the pages being promoted are not featured in the headline, but one friend’s name was included under each of the two company names.

The Pages You May Like module follows on the heels of the introduction in mid-July of a larger “Like Page” button.

Thank you to Social Yeah Founder Kevin Evanetski for the tip and the Pages You May Like screen grab.
