Mobile game news roundup: Christmas comes to Star Wars: Tiny Death Star, Pixel People and more mobile favorites

From a special Santa Warrior Card Pack in Elemental Kingdoms to the addition of Decorator Droid in Star Wars: Tiny Death Star, here’s a round-up of ways to get into the holiday spirit, right from the palm of your hand. Disney’s 12 Days of Disney app offers free goodies until Christmas —- The 12 Days of Disney app offers a free Disney product each day from December 14 to December 25, with prizes including ‘exclusive, yet to be released titles.’ Each app featured comes with free in-game currency, and the app offers festive mini-games to play each day of the countdown. The app is available to download for free on iOS. Star Wars: Tiny Death Star updated with Decorator Droid —- When the holiday update launches in Disney and Nimblebit’s Star Wars themed tower builder, players will be able to unlock the Decorator Droid, which will spread holiday cheer throughout the floors of the Death Star. Special characters will also appear with question marks over their heads, representing special holiday story moments for each. Elemental Kingdoms receives 12 Days of Christmas campaign —- Perfect World Entertainment has updated its trading card game Elemental Kingdoms with a 12 Days of Christmas event. Users receive Gold each day they login to the app during the event. If they login each day from now until December 25, they’ll receive a final special prize. In addition, new players who sign up during this period will receive a bundle of 300 Gems and a Milk & Cookies card for their deck. Finally, players can collect exclusive Christmas attack cards from the Santa Warrior Card Packs. This event will run until December 29. Players can collect reindeer to restore the world’s holiday spirit, while also constructing new buildings and a variety of new landscape and decor items. Santa will even make an appearance, flying high above players’ towns. Tiny Tower players rewarded with free Bux —- Nimblebit has rewarded Tiny Tower players with 20 free Bux as a holiday present. Players will also find their towers have once again been given a holiday theme, from a lobby filled with decorated trees to a sleigh full of presents on the roof. Players can purchase individual outfit pieces, like elf hats, or complete outfits to dress up as Mr. or Mrs. Claus, a reindeer, or even a walking candy cane. Pocket Gems brings Campus Holiday to iOS —- Pocket Gems has released a new app specifically for the holiday season. Campus Holiday stays true to the original gameplay of Campus Life (which is also preparing for a holiday update), but is specifically designed with winter holidays in mind. Players can decorate their environments with poinsettias, eggnog and other holiday decorations, fill their closets with festive clothing like dresses and sweaters, throw a winter bash and more. Campus Holiday is available to download for free on iOS. Machine Zone brings the holidays to Game of War: Fire Age —- For a limited time, the online global combat game will allow players to complete a special "Winter Monster" event, as well as complete other themed events for special Christmas gifts. Christmas Hero Weapons have been added to the game's crafting system, along with themed crafting ingredients. In addition to a visual redesign of the game's interface, complete with snow effects, players can open a Christmas treasure chest containing themed content and can purchase in-game items which have been placed on sale for the holiday season.
