Crittercism raises $12M in Series B funding — Mobile app performance monitoring service provider Crittercism announced it secured $12 million in Series B funding in a round led by existing investor Google Ventures. General partner at Google Ventures Wesley Chan will be joining the board as part of the investment. Other participants in the round include Shasta Ventures and Opus Capital, both of which were also existing investors. Crittercism also announced  a new service that will report on the performance of cloud services and network conditions as they relate to clients’ Android, iOS, Windows Phone 8 and HTML5 apps.

IDC predicts iPad losing ground to Android tablets, other devices — International Data Corp released a report which predicts iPad shipments will account for 46 percent of the tablet market in 2013, down from 51 last year.
