Minnesota Senator Introducing Bill to Legalize Cell Phone Unlocking
Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) announced her decision to introduce a bill this week to legalize cell phone unlocking. This decision comes just a day after the White House announced its official support in response to 140,000+ petitioners wishing to legalize cell phones unlocking.
Klochubar said that consumers “should be free to choose the phone and service that best fits their needs and their budgets… I will continue to work to advance commonsense measures to protect consumers and promote competition.”
