Microsoft Acquires Office.com Domain
Microsoft now owns the Office.com domain, istartedsomething and Download Squad confirmed, and TechCrunch believes the software giant acquired the domain to host its upcoming, Web-based browser versions of Office software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote.
TechCrunch reported that the Office.com domain was owned by a U.S. resident and operated by virtual-office-solutions provider ContactOffice under a revenue-share agreement.
