Togetherville, a social networking website for children under the age of 10, has recently been acquired by Disney. Is this acquisition better for Togetherville or for parents?

Togetherville, which mimics adult social networking websites like Facebook, helps parents create a safe online environment for their children. Instead of children being able to interact with strangers, Togetherville gives parents the responsibility to “allow” or “deny” individuals into their child’s neighborhood. In addition, grownups have the ability to access their child’s page at anytime to view their child’s activity.

Websites like Togetherville helps keep children safer on the internet, but as with anything, it’s not 100% bullet proof.
