The Free Basics services from Internet.org have made their way south of the border.

Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced in a post Monday (embedded below) that Internet.org Free Basics launched on the Virgin Mobile network in Mexico.

Zuckerberg wrote:

As we wrap up the year, I want to share one more milestone: We’ve launched Internet.org Free Basics in Mexico. Now the one-half of the population who are unconnected will have free access to Internet services for education, health, jobs and communication on the Virgin Mobile network.
