Facebook Outbid On Menlo Park Land For Low-Cost Housing

Part of Facebook’s proposal to expand its headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif., involved an agreement by the company to either build 15 low-cost homes or contribute $4.5 million toward affordable housing. But the social network is having trouble finding land in order to comply with that part of the deal.

The Almanac reported that Facebook was outbid for city-owned lots located at 777-821 Hamilton Avenue, with the land going to Greenheart Land for $8 million, and that company planning to build housing on the 2.1
