Maurice Sendak Celebrated in Google Doodle

Today is legendary children’s author Maurice Sendak’s birthday and Google is celebrating the author with a Google Doodle. The Doodle is a video animation based on Sendak’s classic books including Where the Wild Things Are and In the Night Kitchen.

Today would have been his 85th birthday. Sendak passed away last year, just before his 84th birthday.

Sendak’s work has been adapted into many formats including the 2009 live action film Where the Wild Things Are by filmmaker Spike Jonze and the accompanying app Wild Things.
